Methodology
How we attribute spend
ValleyCore Toolkit methodology for advertising spend attribution reporting — intake, reconcile, attribute, and brief.
Our methodology is a working sequence, not a black box. Every Campaign Attribution Study and Monthly Media Spend Review follows the same four beats so stakeholders know when to supply files and when to expect a draft.
Models we will stand behind
At kickoff we agree one primary model for the decision at hand — often position-based for brand-and-performance mixes, last-touch when the brief is purely lower-funnel, or a custom blend when retail media rules demand it. We will show a sensitivity check against a second model when the leadership question is contested.
Data we expect from you
Spend exports with channel and campaign labels, conversion or revenue closures for the same window, and any known promo or stock-out calendar. Gaps are normal; we document them rather than invent fills.
What “done” looks like
A PDF or slide pack your team owns, plus a live readout you can reuse in board and client meetings.
1. Intake
We collect spend files, conversion exports, promo calendars, and the decision the report must support.
2. Reconcile
We align channel definitions, currencies, and date windows so every pound sits in one place.
3. Attribute
We apply the model agreed at kickoff — last-touch, position-based, or a custom blend — and stress-test outliers.
4. Brief
You receive annotated visuals plus a live readout so finance and media hear the same story.
